Jared Badie is a 6'3", 237-pound edge rusher from Aurora, Illinois, who transferred to Ball State for the 2026 season. He began his college career at Illinois as a true freshman in 2022, appearing in five games and recording one special teams tackle. After two years at Illinois, Badie transferred to San Diego State, where he played in all 12 games during the 2025 season with eight tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a sack in the opener against Stony Brook. He returns to the Midwest for his final year of eligibility to allow family to attend games more economically.
