Locklan Hewlett is a quarterback from St. Augustine, Florida, standing 6'1" and weighing 200 pounds. He attended St. Augustine High School, where he earned U.S. Army All-American honors and first-team All-District recognition. Over his prep career, Hewlett compiled 47 touchdowns and 13 interceptions with a 61 percent completion rate according to MaxPreps. As a junior in 2023, he threw for 2,712 yards and 23 touchdowns while leading St. Auguste to a Class 3S state championship game appearance. In his senior year, he guided the team to an 11-1 record and a district title. Hewlett played one season at South Florida under head coach Alex Golesh, appearing in two games and throwing a 45-yard touchdown pass on a fake punt against Boise State. He earned a redshirt and saw extended playing time in the Cure Bowl. A three-star recruit, Hewlett now joins Auburn as a transfer.
