Alex McPherson is a placekicker for the Auburn Tigers entering his redshirt senior season. The Fort Payne, Alabama native was the top-rated kicker in the nation coming out of high school, where he set a state record with a 61-yard field goal. After winning the backup job as a true freshman in 2022, McPherson became the starter and has compiled a 88.9% career field goal percentage, the highest in program history. In 2025, he recovered from an inflammatory bowel disease to appear in all 12 games, converting 20 of 23 field goal attempts and making all 35 extra points. He tied the fifth-most field goals in a single Auburn season and ranked fourth in the SEC in makes.
