Malachi Breland is a 6'5", 334-pound left guard from Laurel, Mississippi who joined Arkansas as a transfer from Memphis. At the Tigers, he appeared in two games as a redshirt freshman in 2023 before taking on a larger role. In 2024, he played in 10 games with seven starts, allowing three sacks across 240 pass plays while committing five penalties as Memphis won 11 games and captured the Frisco Bowl. During the 2025 season, Breland started all 12 contests, logging 845 snaps with a 79.6 pass-blocking grade and just one sack allowed in 454 opportunities. He recorded four penalties for the year and posted his best overall grade of 73.7 against Georgia State on September 6.
