Ja'Quavion Smith is a 6'1", 229-pound weakside linebacker from Wingate, NC who transferred to Arkansas from Howard. As a true freshman in 2024, he appeared in 10 games and recorded 11 tackles, three tackles for loss, and one sack, including his first career sack versus Delaware State on November 2. In 2025, Smith played in 12 games as a sophomore, totaling 49 tackles with 11 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. He forced three fumbles and recovered one, and recorded at least one tackle for loss in seven contests. His best performance came September 20 against Hampton, when he had seven tackles including three for loss and two sacks.
