Joe Drew is a safety for Arkansas State who hails from Blackshear, Georgia, where he attended Pierce County High School. At Pierce County, Drew was named First Team All-Region as a wide receiver and All-State as a defensive back in 2023. Over two high school seasons, he caught 72 passes for 1,165 yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging 16.2 yards per catch. He also contributed as a return specialist with 500 kick return yards, including a 96-yard kickoff return in 2024.
