Joseph Smith is a 6'1", 190-pound cornerback from Houston, TX, who attends Legacy School of Sports and Science. He was the first defensive commit in Arizona State's 2025 recruiting class and earned unanimous 3-star recognition. In high school, Smith recorded 78 tackles as a sophomore over 13 games while intercepting seven passes and breaking up 13 others. He accumulated 465 return yards across his sophomore and junior years, including six touchdown returns. Smith compiled one solo tackle during the 2025 season and returns as a sophomore for the Sun Devils.
