Sam Pickett III is a wide receiver from Jasper, Tennessee, who attended Marion County High School before playing at Samford. As a high school senior, he recorded 48 receptions for 934 yards and 17 touchdowns while also contributing on the ground with 18 rushing touchdowns. During his 2025 freshman season at Samford, Pickett caught 33 passes for 450 yards and two touchdowns, starting the final four games. He posted 112 receiving yards against Mercer with a 77-yard reception and nine catches against Austin Peay. Pickett transferred to App State and is listed as a sophomore.
