Kaden Ellis is a redshirt freshman defensive lineman for App State from Canton, Georgia, who attended Cass High School. During his high school career, Ellis earned 2023 5-A Region 7 Defensive Player of the Year honors and was named a GACA 5-A all-state defensive lineman as a junior. That season he recorded 14 tackles for loss, seven sacks, 16 quarterback hurries, 56 tackles and three forced fumbles. A knee injury in April 2024 caused him to miss his senior season. In 2025, Ellis appeared in two games for the Mountaineers, playing against JMU and in the JLab Birmingham Bowl.
