Juan Berchal is a sophomore defensive back for App State, standing 5'10" and weighing 185 pounds. From Sanford, Florida, he attended Seminole High School, where he earned three-star recruit status. In 2025, Berchal appeared in 10 games and recorded 10 tackles, one tackle for loss, and three pass breakups. He also returned a punt for 45 yards against Boise State and rushed for 22 yards on a fake punt attempt against Coastal Carolina. A crushing hit by Berchal led to an interception that secured App State's victory over Oregon State.
