DaRon Wilson is a defensive back for the App State Mountaineers from Salem, Virginia. He attended Salem High and Fork Union Military Academy, where he played cornerback. In high school, Wilson threw for 1,656 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior and led Salem to a regional final with a 10-win season as a senior quarterback in 2022. He recorded an interception at Fork Union in 2023 against Wagner College. Wilson redshirted as a true freshman in 2024 before appearing in the final two games during the 2025 season against Arkansas State and Georgia Southern.
