The Millville, New Jersey native arrived at Alabama as a four-star recruit ranked 185th nationally in the 2025 class. In his 2025 freshman season, Brooks appeared in 14 games with one start, recording 32 receptions for 441 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 13.8 yards per catch. He converted 19 first downs or touchdowns on his catches, added five carries for seven yards, and returned 15 kickoffs for 283 yards. Brooks earned special teams and offensive player of the week honors from the Alabama coaching staff.
