Daymon David is a safety for the Akron Zips. The Baltimore native attended Franklin High School in Oregon, where he was a consensus four-star recruit ranked among the nation's top 250 players and top 15 safeties. David played at Oregon from 2021 to 2023, appearing in nine games as a true freshman in 2021 and recording three solo tackles. During his 2022 season, he played in Oregon's final 12 games with eight total tackles, including six solo. In 2024, his first year at Akron, David appeared and started two games, recording nine tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, and one interception, including six tackles against Ohio State on August 31. He did not play in 2025 due to medical redshirt status and is returning to the roster.
