Dawayne Galloway Jr. is a 6'0", 170-pound left cornerback from Columbus, Ohio, who transferred to Akron from West Virginia. At Marion-Franklin High School, he recorded 37 tackles, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), and three pass breakups as a senior while allowing no passing touchdowns in eight of 11 games. He also contributed on offense with 16 touchdowns and 1,478 all-purpose yards that season. As a junior, he recorded five interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. Rated a four-star prospect by recruiting services, Galloway redshirted during the 2025 season at West Virginia and now competes for the Zips.
