Aidan Stire is a kicker who transferred to Akron after redshirting during the 2025 season at West Virginia. The Morgantown, West Virginia native won the 2024 Groza Award as the top specialist in the Ohio Valley while at Morgantown High School under coach Sean Biser. As a senior, Stire converted 38 of 38 PATs, recorded 33 touchbacks on 40 kickoff attempts with a 3.8-second average hang time, and averaged 39 yards per punt. He also made a 48-yard field goal and punted 67 yards. During his junior year, he had 39 touchbacks on 50 kickoffs and made 34 of 35 PATs while averaging 41.96 yards per punt.
