Velus Jones Jr. is a running back who attended USC from 2016–19 before transferring to Tennessee, where he was named 2021 SEC Co-Special Teams Player of the Year. Chicago selected him in the third round (71st overall) of the 2022 draft. Through stints with the Bears, Panthers, and Saints, Jones has logged 20 carries for 165 yards and one touchdown, plus 12 receptions for 135 yards and a score across 34 games with two starts. He has also returned 48 kickoffs for 1,244 yards and appeared in three regular season games and two postseason contests—including the Super Bowl—during Seattle's 2025 championship season.
