The 25-year-old began his college career at Miami, where he appeared in 64 games across five seasons (2019–2023) before transferring to SMU for 2024. Over his college tenure, he totaled 130 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 18.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one interception. In his final season at SMU, Harvey started all 14 games and recorded 31 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and 12 tackles for loss.
