Background & career
Jarrett Patterson is a right guard for the Houston Texans who was selected in the sixth round (201st overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft. The Notre Dame product played five seasons for the Irish from 2018-22, appearing in 24 games with 21 starts, and was named an AFCA All-American and team offensive lineman of the year in 2022. Patterson served as a team captain in 2021 and 2022. In his 2023 rookie season, he made seven starts at center, including his first NFL start in Week 1 against Baltimore on September 10, playing all 77 offensive snaps. He appeared in games through Week 8 before being placed on the reserve/injured list on October 31, 2023.
