Michael Smith is a kicker from Tallahassee, FL who prepped at Maclay High School. Smith transferred to Western Kentucky from Florida A&M, where he appeared in 16 games during the 2023 and 2024 seasons. At Florida A&M, he recorded 88 kickoff attempts for 5,310 yards, averaging 60.3 yards per attempt with 37 touchbacks. In 2023 alone, Smith attempted 76 kickoffs at 59.8 yards per try and tallied 28 touchbacks. He also made one field goal during his time with the Rattlers—a 49-yard attempt against then-No. 12 Miami.
