Akio Martinson is a nose tackle who transferred to Washington State in January 2026 as a redshirt junior. The Loomis, California native played at Del Oro High School, where he earned All-State and First-Team All-Defensive Line honors before competing at San Jose State and American River. At American River in 2025, Martinson appeared in 10 games with 42 tackles, 6.5 tackles-for-loss, and 3.5 sacks while forcing one fumble. He recorded a season-high seven tackles against Fresno and posted six tackles with 2.5 tackles-for-loss and two sacks versus Butte. From Del Oro HS · Loomis, CA.
