Donavon Platt is a left cornerback for Virginia who transferred from Army ahead of the 2025 season. At Lucy Ragsdale High School in Jamestown, NC, he earned Metro 4A Conference Defensive MVP honors and recorded six interceptions. He attended USMAPS in 2021 before joining Army, where he started all 14 games at cornerback in 2024 with 15 tackles and two interceptions. At Virginia, Platt made an immediate impact in his debut against Coastal Carolina on 8/30, recording three pass breakups. He picked off his first pass as a Cavalier against Washington State on 10/18 and returned a fumble 61 yards for a touchdown in overtime at Louisville on 10/4.
