Tyrell Grant Jr. is a 6'0", 200-pound true freshman safety from Suffolk, Virginia. At Nansemond River High School, he lettered four years and served as a three-year captain. As a senior, Grant completed 78 of 129 passes for 1,655 yards and 23 touchdowns while rushing 33 times for 510 yards and 10 touchdowns. He earned First Team All-State Division 5 and First Team All-Region 5B honors. Grant helped lead the Warriors to a combined 33-14 record over his career and four consecutive VHSL Class 5 Region B postseason appearances from 2022–25. A three-star recruit ranked nationally by multiple outlets, Grant joins Virginia Tech as a member of the 2026 class. From Nansemond River · Suffolk, VA.
