Major Hinchen is a 6'2", 175-pound cornerback from La Quinta, California, who attended La Quinta High School. A three-star recruit rated by both recruiting services, Hinchen recorded 43 tackles, five pass breakups, and three interceptions across three varsity seasons on defense. He also contributed offensively as a senior, catching nine receptions for 154 yards and three touchdowns. His high school teams compiled a 20-13 record over his final three years. Hinchen participated in track and field, setting four school records including a 10.81 in the 100-meter dash and a 21.98 in the 200-meter. He now plays for the Utah Utes as a true freshman.
