LaGary Mitchell is a true freshman linebacker for Utah standing 6'2" and weighing 212 pounds. The Meridian, Idaho native was a three-star recruit rated No. 745 nationally in the 2026 class and earned All-6A SIC First Team honors in 2024. As a senior at Meridian HS, Mitchell recorded 52 tackles with three sacks, intercepted a pass, rushed for a touchdown, and caught two additional scores. He was named linebacker MVP at the UA Next All-America Game Invite in Salt Lake City and graded as the No. 62 linebacker nationally by the composite recruiting rankings.
