Esean Carter is a 6'2", 285-pound senior left defensive end for the UConn Huskies. A three-star recruit from Martin Luther King High School in Detroit, Carter transferred to UConn after playing his entire career at Toledo. During the 2025 season, he started all 13 games and recorded 36 tackles, 3.0 sacks, and three quarterback hurries, earning All-MAC third-team honors. He posted a career-high 1.5 sacks against Ball State alongside seven tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss. Over 40 games with Toledo, Carter compiled 58 total tackles and 5.0 sacks.
