Marlin Dean is a 6'5", 240-pound right defensive end from Elberton, Georgia, who attended IMG Academy. Dean redshirted at Georgia in 2021 after appearing in one game with two tackles. He then played at Butler Community College in 2023, where he recorded 25 tackles, 7.0 sacks, and 10.5 tackles for loss across nine games, earning first-team All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference honors. Dean transferred to Utah State in 2024, appearing in nine games and posting six tackles, 1.5 sacks, and four quarterback hurries. In 2025 at Georgia State, he saw action in 11 games on defense, totaling 32 tackles and three tackles for loss while recording a safety against Memphis and forcing a fumble against Murray State.
