Mantrez Walker is a weak-side linebacker from Buford, Georgia, who transferred to UAB from Colorado. At Buford High School, he earned All-Region First Team honors three consecutive years and finished his senior campaign with 54 tackles, four tackles for loss, and two quarterback hurries, helping lead the Wolves to an 11-2 record and a 7A quarterfinals appearance. During the 2025 season at Colorado, Walker appeared in four games, making his collegiate debut against Iowa State in week seven.
