Corey Smith is a running back from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who attended Catholic Memorial High School before joining Penn State. At the prep level, Smith earned all-state honors as a senior and was rated as a consensus four-star prospect, ranked No. 17 nationally at his position by Rivals and No. 286 overall by national outlets. He led Catholic Memorial to a state championship as a sophomore, a state runner-up finish as a junior, and a state semifinal appearance as a senior. During his time at Penn State, Smith appeared in four games in 2024, rushing for 152 yards on 22 attempts including a 78-yard run against Washington, and played in two games in 2025, gaining 30 yards.
