Bio

Michael Masunas is a tight end who transferred to Texas from Michigan State in spring 2026. The 6'5", 257-pound Tucson native played in 24 career games at Michigan State from 2023-25. In 2025, his redshirt junior year, Masunas appeared in all 12 games with eight starts, recording 19 catches for 232 yards and three touchdowns while charting 391 offensive snaps. He earned Academic All-Big Ten honors for the third consecutive year and was named to the Academic All-District Team. Masunas finished his Michigan State tenure with four catches for 37 yards in 2024 before a season-ending injury, and redshirted in 2022 after earning his first letter as a redshirt freshman in 2023.
