Justin Cryer is a linebacker from Katy, Texas who transferred to Texas from Florida State in spring 2026. At Royal High School, the three-star recruit was a two-time team captain and recorded 103 tackles, 19.0 tackles for loss, and 5.0 sacks during his junior season. Over three seasons at Florida State, Cryer appeared in 26 games with 10 starts. In 2025, his junior year, he started eight games and led FSU linebackers with 43 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, and 1.0 sack.
