Nate Prater is a redshirt senior defensive back for Syracuse, standing 5'9" and weighing 180 pounds. The Franklin, Tennessee native transferred to the Orange from Orange Coast College, where he appeared in 18 games over two seasons and recorded 40 tackles, 1.0 tackles for loss, and an interception. At Boonton High School, Prater earned three letters and served as team captain. As a senior, he rushed for 596 yards and 13 touchdowns while adding 2 receiving touchdowns and 1 kickoff return touchdown.
