MJ Johnson is a 5'10", 180-pound wide receiver from Enterprise, AL, where he played for Enterprise HS under head coach Ben Blackmon. Johnson finished his high school career with 3,305 rushing yards and 40 touchdowns, ranking second in school history for career rushing yards, while adding 632 receiving yards and eight touchdowns as a senior. After one game at Troy in 2023, he transferred to Northwest Mississippi CC, where he appeared in all 12 games in 2024, recording 24 receptions for 416 yards and four touchdowns while returning 25 kickoffs for 541 yards. In 2025, Johnson caught 38 passes for 497 yards and six touchdowns across 12 games, highlighted by a nine-catch, 163-yard performance with three touchdown receptions.
