Jermichael Gillis is a safety for South Florida, standing 6'1" and weighing 178 pounds. The Lakeland, Florida native attended Lakeland High School, where he recorded 40 tackles and two interceptions as a sophomore, then 36 tackles and one interception as a freshman. His high school team reached the state championship semifinals in his senior year with a 12-0 record and earned a No. 2 ranking in Florida and No. 11 nationally.
