Brayden Hurst is a 6'3", 310-pound defensive lineman from Ponchatoula, Louisiana, who plays for South Alabama. At Ponchatoula High School, he earned All-State Honorable Mention and Class 5A All-District recognition while also receiving Team MVP and Academic All-State honors. During his prep career, Hurst recorded six blocked extra points and returned an interception for a touchdown. He also participated in track and field, basketball, and e-sports. A three-star recruit in the 2026 class, Hurst chose South Alabama over offers from Southern, Northwestern State, Louisiana, and Eastern Michigan. He is majoring in electrical engineering.
