Jamal Anderson is a 6'3", 225-pound linebacker from Buford, Georgia, who transferred to SMU from Clemson. A consensus four-star recruit in the 2023 class, Anderson appeared in all 13 games as a true freshman at Clemson in 2023, recording six tackles across 45 defensive snaps while earning All-ACC Academic Team honors. In 2024, he played 78 defensive snaps over 14 games, accumulating nine tackles, one sack, and one blocked punt.
