Josiah Cox is a 6'1", 197-pound safety from San Diego, California, who plays for the Aztecs. A three-star recruit in the 2023 class, Cox attended Lincoln High School where he won a state title and earned defensive player of the year honors. He began his college career at Arizona State in 2023, appearing in 10 games and recording three tackles and a sack. Cox transferred to New Mexico State for 2024, appearing in 10 games with one start against No. 15 Texas A&M. He totaled 35 tackles and tied for the team lead with two interceptions, both coming against Sam Houston on September 21.
