Zahmir Dawud is a left cornerback from North Brunswick, New Jersey, who transferred to Rutgers as a redshirt junior for the 2026 season. At Villanova, he appeared in 33 games with 17 starts over three seasons (2023-25), recording 93 tackles, 13 pass breakups, four interceptions, and four tackles for loss. In 2025, his junior year, Dawud started 13 of 15 games and earned Third Team All-CAA honors after tying for second in the conference with 13 passes defended. He also saw action in six FCS Playoff games, including a run to the semifinals. Dawud maintains membership on the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.
