Henry Hughes Jr. is a defensive tackle for Rutgers from Tampa, FL, where he attended Tampa Bay Tech. The 6'5", 290-pound redshirt senior made his collegiate debut versus Howard on August 29, 2024, and recorded a tackle against Akron the following week. In 2025, Hughes appeared in six games, recovering a fumble against Norfolk State and registering a tackle versus No. 8 Oregon. He has been named to the Academic All-Big Ten list four times and was selected to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society in 2026. Hughes is a graduate student majoring in Supply Chain Management.
