Canaan Edwards is a 6'3", 235-pound defensive lineman for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Edwards attended Langston Hughes High School, where he played along the defensive line under coach Daniel Williams. During his senior season in 2024, he helped the Panthers achieve a 12-1 record and reach the Class 5A GHSA semifinal, earning Class 5A Region 3 honorable mention honors. Edwards made his collegiate debut against Norfolk State on September 13, 2025, in his freshman year. He currently returns for the 2026 season as a sophomore.
