Chris Knauls Jr. is a defensive lineman for Rice, standing 6'4" and weighing 272 pounds. The true freshman from Frisco, TX attended Lone Star High School, where he earned Unanimous All-District 5-5A DI honors as a senior under coach Jeff Rayburn. That season, Knauls recorded 61 tackles, including 20 for loss and 15 sacks, as Lone Star reached the state title game. He was a Second-team All-District selection as both a junior and sophomore.
