Mike van der Oord is a 6'7", 300-pound offensive lineman from Westlake, Ohio, who attends St. Ignatius High School. He enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh in June 2026. As a junior, van der Oord anchored an offensive line for a running game that produced 171.8 yards per game. He was ranked the No. 9 overall offensive tackle in Ohio by recruiting services. Van der Oord, a business major, is the son of Larry and Jeniffer van der Oord; both parents attended the Air Force Academy, where his mother played tennis and his father played football.
