La'Vell Wright is a running back from Louisville, Kentucky, who attended North Hardin High School before playing college football at Kentucky, Austin Peay, and Western Kentucky. At Kentucky (2021–23), he appeared in 17 games over three seasons, including all 13 games as a redshirt freshman with 39 carries for 120 yards and six receptions for 28 yards, while earning three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll honors. He transferred to Austin Peay for the 2024 season, where he led the Governors with 609 rushing yards on 115 carries and five rushing touchdowns across 10 games. At Western Kentucky in 2025, Wright played in all 13 games, accumulating 471 rushing yards on 85 carries with ten touchdowns and 10 receptions for 88 yards and a score.
