Josiah Zayas is a true freshman cornerback at Penn State from Piscataway, New Jersey. He attended Westside High School under coach Paul Limongi, where he compiled 139 tackles, nine interceptions, and four fumble recoveries across his career. As a senior, Zayas posted 73 tackles, six interceptions, and six pass breakups while also recording 23 receptions for 410 yards and eight touchdowns. His high school team reached state playoffs in consecutive years, finishing as runner-up in 2024 and reaching the semifinals in 2025. Zayas was a consensus three-star recruit, ranked No. 6 in Nebraska by national outlets and No. 10 by recruiting services.
