Cael Brezina is a linebacker from Downers Grove, Illinois, who attended Downers Grove North High School. A three-star recruit, he earned 2023 IHSFCA first-team All-State honors and led his high school to a state championship game that year. Brezina transferred to Penn State following two seasons at Iowa State. In 2025, he appeared in 12 games with five starts, accumulating 29 tackles (14 solo), one forced fumble, and one pass breakup. His 2024 campaign included eight games played and seven starts, recording activity across multiple Big 12 contests including a career-high eight tackles against TCU.
