Kam Franklin, a defensive end from Lake Cormorant, Mississippi, enrolled at Ole Miss for the 2024 season after being ranked as a top-75 recruit nationally and tabbed the No. 30 player in the top-300 national recruit rankings. As a freshman, Franklin appeared in seven games, recording 11 total tackles (five solo), 5.0 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and three quarterback hurries. His performance included a five-tackle, 1.5-tackle-for-loss debut against Furman on August 31, 2024, and three tackles with 2.0 tackles for loss and one sack in his return from injury against Arkansas on November 2, 2024. Franklin played in Ole Miss' Gator Bowl victory on January 2, 2025, adding one quarterback hurry across 17 snaps.
