Preston Mickels is a defensive back from Southlake, Texas, who lettered at Carroll Senior High School. During his senior season, he recorded three tackles across three games before committing to Oklahoma over preferred walk-on offers from North Texas, SMU, and Texas A&M. Mickels enrolled at OU in August 2024 and is pursuing a major in organizational leadership. He redshirted during the 2024 season and did not play in 2025.
