Tate Romney is a 6'1", 223-pound linebacker from Chandler, Arizona, who began his college career at BYU as a redshirt in 2022 before transferring to Arizona State. At ASU, Romney appeared in 12 games and started 11 as a freshman in 2023, recording 52 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, and four pass breakups while playing 543 snaps—the most by any freshman linebacker in the Pac-12 that season. In 2024, he played in seven games before a broken arm limited him to the second half.
