Hunter Welcing is a 6'3" tight end from Deer Park, Illinois who transferred to Ohio State after playing at Northwestern. A three-star recruit from the 2020 class, Welcing appeared in four games as a freshman in 2021 before redshirting. He missed 2022 due to injury but returned to action in 2023, appearing in eight games. As a redshirt sophomore in 2024, he recorded one reception for 20 yards across 12 games.
