Michael O'Connell is an offensive lineman for Northwestern. The 6'7", 305-pound true freshman from Glen Ellyn, Illinois, attended Glenbard West High School, where he was selected to the News-Gazette's 2024 First Team All-State and named to the 2024 Red Grange All DuPage County Team. A three-star prospect ranked No. 22 in Illinois and No. 68 nationally at offensive tackle, O'Connell committed to Northwestern on June 10, 2024, choosing the Wildcats over Indiana, Minnesota, and Illinois.
