CJ Coombes is a 6'1", 212-pound cornerback from Bellefonte, Delaware, who prepped at IMG Academy before beginning his college career at Tulsa in 2023, appearing in four games while preserving a redshirt. He transferred to Wofford and started all 12 games in 2024, recording 88 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. In 2025, Coombes started five games before suffering an injury that ended his season early, tallying 31 tackles, 0.5 sack, one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Over two seasons with the Terriers, he compiled 119 total tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 17 starts.
